Preparing for AI and Process Automation

According to APQC research, AI and process automation are the top two competencies for process professionals to develop in the next eighteen months. But before implementing a technology or digital application, an organization must have a strong foundation that includes well-defined processes.   

In February 2024, Madison Lundquist (Principal Research Lead, Process and Performance Management, APQC) facilitated a roundtable conversation exploring how organizations view the role of digital technology and AI in process and performance management. Some of the topics discussed included:

  • How does your organization define process automation and AI?
  • What process areas do you feel have the greatest opportunity for technology?
  • How is AI being used in your organization?
  • What is critical to do first before implementing technology?
