Leveraging AI and Automation: Opportunities and Limitations

According to APQC research, AI and process automation are the top two competencies for process professionals to develop in the next eighteen months. In February 2024, Madison Lundquist (Principal Research Lead, Process and Performance Management, APQC) facilitated a roundtable conversation exploring how organizations view the role of digital technology and AI in process and performance management. Some of the topics discussed included:

  • How do you define AI?
  • What process areas do you feel have the greatest opportunity for technology? 
  • How is AI being used in your organization? 
  • What is critical to do first before implementing technology?
