This document lists measures commonly used to evaluate approaches for capturing and applying lessons learned. The list includes both activity measures, which track participation and engagement, and efficiency/effectiveness measures, which gauge how well the lessons learned approach is meeting its business objectives.

The measures were developed in partnership with APQC’s 2011-2012 KM Advanced Working Group, which included representatives from APQC, Baker Hughes, ConocoPhillips, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Marathon Oil, Rockwell Collins, and U.S. Army ARDEC.
