The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) earned APQC’s 2019 Excellence in KM Award in honor of achieving Level 3 on APQC’s KM Capability Assessment at the enterprise level. APQC spoke with Larry Parson, chief of the IRS’ Servicewide Knowledge Management team, and Sanaa’ Taylor, Servicewide Knowledge Management program lead analyst, about the organization’s KM program, including its governance strategy for KM, how it organizes and manages knowledge content, and its approach to knowledge capture and transfer.
