Building a strong and sustainable community of practice is no easy task—it takes time and intentional effort to put the right foundations in place. During APQC’s 2020 KM Conversations Webinar Series, Brittany Persinger, KM manager at World Vision International, and Sarah Crass, a former World Vision KM team member who is now chief of staff at Medical Teams International, shared two stories of community failure at World Vision. They used these experiences as a jumping-off point to explore common community-of-practice pitfalls and 10 strategies to help ensure that communities are built to last.
