Metal organization Novelis has undertaken a global transformation intended to remake it around an end-to-end standard business model. The organization has seen dramatic change, only some of which was expected and adequately prepared for.

At APQC's 2013 Process Conference, Chris McFadden, Novelis' director of process and data, outlined some of the key findings and advantages of the transformation, with specific examples of the good, bad, and ugly, as well as take-away observations of the need for superior change management in order to achieve process objectives.
