KM for a More Virtual Workforce
With COVID-19 prompting a sudden and massive shift to virtual work, knowledge management (KM) professionals are looking at what elements of collaboration have changed, how to best support knowledge workers, and what changes are needed to accommodate a potential long-term pivot away from face-to-face knowledge sharing. This article summarizes a brainstorming discussion session that occurred as part of APQC’s 2020 KM Conversations webinar series. The discussion focused on KM’s role in virtual work, recommended collaboration tools, virtual KM engagement, and how communities of practice have fared during the pandemic.
