With vaccines beginning to roll out, many of us are eager to “just get back to normal.” Taking a step back, though, it’s clear that this is impossible—and in some ways, it’s undesirable. After all, much of the tragedy and disruption of 2020 was caused not by the virus itself, but by people who were unwilling or unable to work together. Dr. Harlene Anderson, co-founder of the Houston Galveston Institute and the Taos Institute, and Dr. Carla O’Dell, APQC Board Chairman, recommend using this moment as a time to pause, reflect, and learn.
