Driving Behavior Change With Consequences

Consequences play a critical role in change management, but many organizations and project teams struggle to know which consequences will be most effective to drive change and make it stick. At APQC’s 2023 conference, Mary Berger (Program Manager, Land O’Lakes) and Dave Rogers (Senior Program Manager, Missions Support and Test Services) facilitated a group discussion about how to use consequences for effective change management. As they discussed examples from their organizations, participants also shared strategies that can help change management teams dig more deeply into what motivates employees and leaders.
