APQC KM Conference Video Preview for ExxonMobil and Novartis Sessions

Two exciting breakout sessions at APQC’s 2016 Knowledge Management Conference April 28-29 will be from ExxonMobil and Novartis. Both speakers created short videos previewing their sessions. ExxonMobil’s session is “Transforming Cognitive Interview Learnings into Global Competency Development.” It will be presented by Bredow Bell Thompson, manager, global policy, compliance & communication, and will focus on how ExxonMobil was able to develop a process to transfer expertise and transform interview learnings into synthesized concepts and tools.

The second preview video is from Novartis. Valerie Heerwagen, associate director of knowledge management, and Christina Anderson, associate director of project management, will present “Disseminating the Right Information at the Right Time.” During their session they will talk about the challenges of information overload and how essential it is to get the right information to the right person at the right time. The healthcare industry distributes lots of published information from secondary sources, but can be a challenge to combine this information with internal knowledge and expertise.  This session will discuss how Novartis’ KM system is being used to gather and disseminate external and internal electronically accessible information.

APQC's 2016 KM Conference is April 28-29 in Houston, Texas.
