Percentage of employees with access to Employee Self-Service (ESS) system

This measure calculates the percentage of employees who have access to an Employee Self-Service (ESS) system, which allows non-payroll, non-benefits and non-HR employees to perform an entire transaction by making changes or entering new information into the system of record from their computer terminals using a web portal or system that supports self-service transactions. It is part of a set of Process Efficiency measures that help companies optimize their "manage employee information" process by minimizing waste and refining resource consumption.

Process efficiency

Process efficiency represents how well a process converts its inputs into outputs. A process that converts 100% of the inputs into outputs without waste is more efficient than one that converts a similar amount of inputs into fewer outputs.
