Approved preferred/core carriers for primary transportation as a percentage of total carriers used for primary transportation

This measure calculates the percentage of total carriers used for primary transportation that are preferred/core carriers on the approved list. Preferred/core carriers are those that a company has negotiated terms—like simplified billing and improved rates—in exchange for concentrated shipments with these carriers. This measure is part of a set of Supplemental Information measures that help companies evaluate additional variables not covered elsewhere for the "operate outbound transportation" process.
