Supplier Relationship Management and the Use of Supplier Metrics

In the fourth quarter of 2010, 50 organizations responded to a survey on their use of supplier relationship management. Survey responses show that the level of supplier involvement in the development and monitoring of those performance metrics varies among respondents. These organizations generally do use outcome-based metrics to evaluate supplier performance and tie supplier performance to enterprise-wide strategies.
