Critical Skills for Success with Digital Tools and Technologies

In February of 2024, APQC conducted a survey to understand how digital tools and technologies impact process and performance management (PPM) professionals and the organizations they support. With responses from over 450 participants, the survey revealed the top critical skills process professionals believe will be important for their organizations to succeed in the rollout of digital technologies.

This article outlines the top three critical skills organizations need to succeed in digitalization initiatives and recommendations for addressing each:

  1. process management,
  2. change management, and 
  3. data management.
