Core Competencies for Knowledge Management Teams
APQC has defined a list of core competencies for KM teams, divided into four categories:
- Project and program management
- Consulting and customer centricity
- Communication and influence
- Digital and data fluency
This document outlines each competency with a definition, why it matters to KM, and an example of it “in action” at an organization APQC has studied. Use the list on its own, or in conjunction with APQC's KM Competencies Gap Analysis Template, to identify potential skill gaps or weak points on your team.
