Some people make business decisions based on gut instinct, emotions, and short-term thinking—but not process people. Process people apply a more scientific, systems thinking approach. They gather facts and data, apply trusted methodologies, determine a root cause, and develop and test a hypothesis for improvement. In so doing, they’re able to make positive changes not only to processes, but also to entire systems and the people that work within them.
