Here's the bottom line: If you want to demonstrate tangible business value from your KM tools and approaches, you have to measure their performance. Anecdotal evidence may spark interest and inspire participation, but it can only take you so far. The most reliable way to secure ongoing leadership and business-unit support for KM is to show stakeholders what they're getting by explicitly measuring the health and impact of KM activities as well as the program as a whole.
