Organizational Performance Measures Impacted by Knowledge Management

In knowledge management (KM), the ultimate goal of measurement is to understand knowledge-sharing processes, determine how they affect business processes, and correlate KM outcomes with business measures. This document lists measures that may be used to correlate participation in KM with organizational performance.

The measures were developed in partnership with APQC’s KM Advanced Working Group, which included representatives from APQC, Baker Hughes, ConocoPhillips, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Marathon Oil, Rockwell Collins, and U.S. Army ARDEC.
