Sharing Responsibility for DEI

In this article, APQC reviews sharing responsibility as one building block of an effective diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program. Sharing responsibility means making everyone in the organization responsible for DEI. This is important because delivering on transformative DEI goals requires all people in an organization to be prepared, participating, accountable, and incentivized to do their part. 

After discussing this building block at a high level, APQC draws from its DEI research findings to provide detail about the journey that organizations take as they progress in this area.
