Benchmarking: Two Tales of Success

Benchmarking is perhaps the most effective process and performance improvement tool—but it only works if you use it. In this session, Boeing and EY will share how they worked together to reinstitute benchmarking at Boeing. The speakers will discuss the development of Boeing's benchmarking Center of Excellence (CoE) and share success stories about collaboration with the Security and Fire Protection business unit in a multidimensional assessment of their 21 service offerings. 
Topics include: 

• benefits, and challenges of benchmarking efforts pursued by internal and external teams;
• how to implement benchmarking at varying scales, while using multiple quantitative and qualitative methodologies, to inform institutional growth and increase understanding of process and performance;
• how collaborative learning partnerships deliver performance management benefits.
