Each year, APQC carries out survey research to explore the focus areas, key initiatives, and top challenges for the finance function. This year’s survey included 330 valid participants from diverse regions, industries, and organizational sizes. 

Supply chains have gained greater visibility over the last few years as the key to ensuring the smooth continuation of operations and the timely delivery of products and services for both businesses and consumers. Supply chain now has more influence among senior leaders.

People, process, and knowledge are three core elements that organizations use to improve operational efficiencies, enable high-performing teams, and maximize productivity.   

Each year, APQC carries out a survey to understand the common challenges and priorities of process and performance management (PPM) practitioners.

As we began thinking about ideas around this year’s APQC 2023 Conference, we asked ourselves “What problems are people in process and knowledge management trying to solve?’

Every year, I like to wrap up by taking stock of process and performance management trends and research we have conducted. Overall 2022 has been a great year for process and performance professionals.

An unexpected upshot of the chaotic 2020s is that more leaders see the connection between knowledge management and business success.

Each November APQC is invited to speak at multiple “KNOWvember” events, and it’s a great opportunity to think about the issues most relevant and animating to knowledge management.
