Course Description

This course will focus on the critical elements of communities of practice (CoP) design and tips and techniques to help you plan your organization’s CoP strategy. Participants will engage in conversations and activities that address CoP strategy and structure, alignment with stakeholder needs, CoP roles, support, and engagement, and key activities for designing and sustaining CoPs.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand the value that communities of practice (CoPs) bring to an organization​
  • Learn the types of CoPs and which are right for your organization​
  • Understand what is necessary to plan a community and how to do it (leveraging best practices)​
  • Explore techniques for designing successful CoPs
