When knowledge resources are scattered across disparate repositories, it’s easy for employees to become frustrated and overwhelmed as they search for the knowledge they need. This was the challenge Prudential faced, with hundreds of thousands of knowledge resources housed in 10 different systems. At APQC’s 2022 Process and Knowledge Management Conference, Allison Wilkins described Prudential’s journey to transform KM by implementing a centralized KM repository for its content. As Prudential moved through its journey, the KM team learned important lessons about executive buy-in, change management, collaboration with the business, and more.
