Driving Change with KM at TechnipFMC
Global energy leader TechnipFMC faced a significant challenge as it sought to implement a new engineering process and make it stick among a group of 5,000 engineers. In the first year of implementation, TechnipFMC confronted significant change management challenges and a lack of alignment between the pillars of its implementation roadmap. Fortunately, a partnership with the organization’s knowledge management (KM) team helped provide better alignment, robust knowledge resources, and a change management plan to successfully drive adoption.
At APQC’s 2023 conference, Tamara Viles (Knowledge Management Program Manager) and Greg Turcotte (Senior Manager, Engineering Quality) shared insights and lessons learned from TechnipFMC’s journey and spoke to the value of KM for driving change.
