Knowledge management (KM) teams often struggle to secure support from senior leaders. Executives either don’t understand what KM is, are skeptical of its value, or pay lip service to KM without backing up their words with funding and resources. At APQC’s 2022 Process and Knowledge Management Conference, Kelly Souders, program manager for U.S. Navy Carrier Team One, and Danielle Spudich, manager of the Allstate Claims knowledge management team, led an interactive group discussion about ways for KM to garner leadership attention and buy-in.
