According to APQC’s research, a key enabler for creating an effective knowledge management (KM) infrastructure is to divide costs between business units and a centralized corporate function. This article describes the shared funding models for KM at Caterpillar Inc., the U.S. Federal Highway Administration, and Fluor Corp.
