APQC’s supply chain management and product development research agenda is expanding in 2013, and we want you to be involved. In this blog post I’ll give you a quick snapshot of our plans, give you a heads up on our next SCM Community Call, and highlight our Open Standards Benchmarking assessments.

Supply Chain Management and Product Development Research

APQC is currently conducting research on open innovation and the financial risks of supply chain disruption. In the first quarter of 2013, we are set to launch several other projects:

  •    Recruiting and Developing Talent in the Supply Chain will look at how organizations are formalizing supply chain recruiting and development programs.
  •    Insights from Open Standards Benchmarking in Product Development and Innovation will take a close look at whether certain practices are correlated with better performance.
  •    How Shingo Prize Winners Manage Their Supply Chains will focus on best practices in Lean supply chains.
