At Cargill, process excellence became a catalyst for transformation when the company unified more than 50 disconnected repositories into a single, enterprise-wide platform for managing and improving how work gets done. This session revealed how the Business Process Management Center of Excellence turned fragmentation into focus, creating a global foundation for consistency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Led by Business Process Architect Nubia Mendez, the initiative built a common process language, centralized models into one accessible repository, and embedded governance, training, and communities of practice to ensure sustainable adoption. The team overcame resistance to change, secured executive sponsorship, and tied process management directly to strategic business outcomes, making process work a driver of measurable value.

Participants learned practical insights and actionable tactics to:

  • Consolidate fragmented process repositories into a single source of truth and apply standardized taxonomies and notations
  • Use governance techniques—role design, mandatory training, and access controls—to maintain quality at scale.
  • Build and sustain a strong community of practice to engage experts, drive adoption, and accelerate BPM maturity across complex organizations.
