This session showcased how PETRONAS leveraged business processes as a basis for organizational transformation by:

  • Using APQC's Process Classification Framework® (PCF) as guidance on defining high level business processes and a new operating model;
  • Defining role, competency, and technology requirements through business processes; 
  • Designing a new operating model based on business processes; and
  • Transitioning to a new way of working by anchoring to business processes. 

Improved productivity, a culture of empowerment, and key process measurements are some of the results from implementing business process changes. Participants viewed a simple and practical illustrated guide on designing new organizations and implementing change.
