How can project managers be encouraged to share and reuse project knowledge? APQC’s study Managing Project Knowledge details the approaches among strong project management programs to capture and transfer project knowledge. APQC found that project managers are more likely to share and reuse knowledge when doing so is built into a project methodology. As described by this article, regardless of the mix of KM tools and approaches an organization uses for project management, it is important to build KM activities into the methodology, framework, or process that guides project planning and execution.
