KM adds significant value to organizations when it engages with business partners to help deliver on key priorities. But stakeholder engagement can be challenging for many KM teams. 

Mercer is one organization that has worked hard to build a KM ecosystem that includes robust stakeholder engagement. As part of APQC’s September 2024 KM webinar, attendees heard insights and stories of stakeholder engagement from Knowledge Management Leader Lisa Weber and Career Practice Knowledge Management Leader Tiffany Lee. This article highlights the history of Mercer’s KM program, the skills that help to drive stakeholder engagement, and provides three examples of how the KM program works closely with stakeholders in the business.
