World Vision wanted to increase knowledge sharing across field offices and help employees identify leverage best practices globally. To do this, it developed a federated KM structure that pairs a global KM team with a network of knowledge managers embedded in the business. Together, global and local KM representatives support communities of practice and other KM activities.
