Driving Process Maturity with APQC’s Seven Tenets at AstraZeneca

At APQC’s 2025 Conference, Director of Process Management Chris Moriak shared insights and lessons learned from AstraZeneca’s process journey. The organization found a lot of success in 2020 when it redesigned its processes, but eventually began seeing challenges because processes were still missing governance, performance management, change management, and the right tools and technology. Moriak shared the steps that the organization carried out and the benefits it achieved as it implemented these additional tenets of process management.
