Chevron Corp. is implementing Microsoft SharePoint as its primary platform for information management and employee collaboration. This case study focuses on Chevron’s Procurement and Supply Chain Management function and the SharePoint hierarchy it is building to house reference information, working documents, and communities of practice. As the KM team implements its design, the first priority is completion of a repository for standard processes and related knowledge, which will provide the work force with a one-stop shop for process documentation as well as best practices, templates, and examples related to core processes.
