In 2007, APQC conducted a Collaborative Benchmarking study to identify best practices for using Web 2.0 and social computing technologies to help employees collaborate and share knowledge. This article provides an overview of that study, including nine study themes and highlights and a description of each of the five participating best-practice organizations: Accenture, Hewlett-Packard, Royal Dutch Shell, Siemens AG, and the U.S. Department of State.
