APQC's research suggests that enterprise social networking and gamification platforms can help organizations engage Millennials and make them feel like they're part of a meaningful community of colleagues. Whereas social tools put Millennials in touch with experts and peers who can help them build knowledge and skills, brainstorm solutions, and improve their job performance, gamification provides an outlet for new hires to demonstrate their accomplishments and start building their professional reputations in a fun way.
