In APQC’s 2024 Supply Chain Priorities and Challenges research, supply chain professionals emphasized the importance of soft skills like change management and collaboration. The biggest obstacles to supply chain process improvement were identified as challenges related to implementing new technology (52 percent) and lack of collaboration (50 percent). Poor collaboration within and among supply chain and other functions continues to persist as a top obstacle for the third year in a row.
