Integrated analytics key to strategy execution. Knowledge analytics, workforce analytics, process analytics, analytics in finance—all are topics featured on APQC’s analytics expertise page. At APQC, we’re making an effort to research how different organizational functions and processes are affected by data and analytics. There are benefits to having such a broad understanding of how organizations are using analytics. However, APQC webinar guest speaker, Alec Levenson argues, that ultimately these diverse perspectives must come together if an organization is to fully leverage analytics for strategy execution.
In a recent blog post Levenson, an economist and senior research scientist at the Center for Effective Organizations, Marshall School of Business, University of Southern California, wrote:
The deepest, most useful insights always start with an integrated process that brings together subject matter experts from the business, HR, along with the analytics, to jointly identify the issues to be addressed.
On Tuesday, April 19 at 12:00 p.m. CDT, Alec Levenson will present on integrated analytics—a new, unified way of addressing both business and HR challenges. He will share his framework which can be used to address any pressing business or talent issue in a way that will improve strategy execution and organizational effectiveness.
I had the opportunity to hear Alec Levenson speak on this topic early in 2016. I found his message to be especially timely. At APQC, we’ve had the opportunity to study how different groups and functions within organizations are independently adopting and advancing analytics capabilities. Tackling analytics from different perspectives is not wrong, but Levenson argues that when these efforts are aligned—when they address the entire organizational system and all of its processes—they can have the greatest benefit. They can empower the organization to achieve its strategic objectives.
Levenson did not stop at sharing this powerful message about analytics and the execution of business strategy. He went on to discuss specific challenges that organizations face in aligning analytics efforts and then to recommend a range of solutions.
Register today to hear Levenson talk. This is a can’t miss webinar for anyone interested in using analytics to successfully execute organizational strategy and achieve competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Thanks for reading. I hope you can join the webinar or register and watch on demand.
