APQC Members Named Top Supply Chains

Analyst firm Gartner named nine APQC member organizations in its annual Supply Chain Top 25 released May 22. Gartner’s list identifies global leaders in the supply chain industry using financial data, analyst opinions, and peer opinions.

The nine APQC members are:

  •    Procter & Gamble,
  •    The Coca Cola Company,
  •    Intel,
  •    Cisco Systems,
  •    Nike,
  •    Research in Motion,
  •    Caterpillar,
  •    Johnson & Johnson, and
  •    Hewlett-Packard.

Gartner’s Top 25 ranking is focused on the concept of demand-driven excellence in supply chain. The organizations on the list combine supply management, demand management, and product management in a networked approach that replaces the traditional concept of supply chain management as a series of sequential steps. This allows the companies to manage demand rather than just respond to it. The organizations also demonstrate the ability to embed innovation in operations rather than keep it isolated.

We congratulate these member organizations for being supply chain leaders!
