APQC Names Amanda Schalyo Executive Director, Marketing & Digital Experience

Schalyo, formerly director of marketing, will focus on creating a compelling digital user experience and manage APQC’s brand, marketing and public relations strategies

(HOUSTON, TEXAS – January 28, 2020)APQC, the benchmarking and best practices authority, has promoted Amanda Schalyo to the position of Executive Director, Marketing and Digital Experience. In this new role, Schalyo is responsible for creating a state-of-the-art user experience for APQC’s digital platforms. She also oversees the APQC brand and spearheads the organization’s marketing and brand awareness strategies.

“Since joining APQC in 2010, Amanda has been instrumental in leading our marketing team to achieve new levels of performance, while continuing to build our brand and support APQC’s mission,” says Lisa Higgins, APQC’s president and chief executive officer. “Most recently, she led the charge to improve our members’ digital experience at APQC.org, making our valuable content more accessible and actionable for APQC members.”

Schalyo led the creation of a robust digital platform with built-in tracking and metrics to help APQC better understand how members use its services and to concurrently help prospects better understand how benchmarking and best practices research can be used to impact business performance. Under Schalyo’s guidance, the website - APQC.org - has achieved record levels of web traffic and visitor engagement. She also shepherded the creation and launch of the first lead nurturing and scoring system for APQC.

“Over the last decade, I have had the pleasure of connecting with APQC members and prospects through both traditional marketing and digital channels, helping more people fully engage with our content to realize the value of APQC membership,” Schalyo says. “I am thrilled to be taking on a new role where I can spend more time with our members, ensuring that their business needs are reflected in an enhanced user experience across all of APQC’s digital platforms.”

Schalyo earned her master’s degree in communication, culture and technology at Georgetown University and her bachelor’s degree in public relations and French from Mississippi State University.
