Unplanned machine/equipment downtime as a percentage of scheduled run time
This measure calculates the percentage of scheduled run time that is disrupted by unplanned machine/equipment downtime. This reflects unscheduled downtime specific to machines/equipment, rather than more general unscheduled production downtime. Unplanned downtime considers how long a machine is unexpectedly not operational. This does not include downtime for reasons such as scheduled/preventive maintenance, set up, change over, or unscheduled machine use. This Process Efficiency measure is intended to help companies minimize waste and refine resource consumption related to the process group "Produce/Assemble/Test product".
