Percentage of total number of items purchased and received failing inspection (incoming material quality)

This measure determines the percentage of total number of items purchased and received that failed inspection. Inspection of incoming material quality consists of the physical review of inbound products to ensure that they match the purchase order in quantity and type, and meet the product specifications. This measure is part of a set of Process Efficiency measures that help companies optimize the performance of their "procure materials and services" process by minimizing waste and refining resource consumption.
