Turning Knowledge Into Action: Reimagining the Enterprise Wiki
TechnipFMC’s enterprise knowledge base, The Well, has evolved from a traditional wiki into a dynamic, intelligent platform that connects people, processes, and insights across the organization. With 6,000 active pages and 1,300 daily users, The Well now serves as a central hub for learning, collaboration, and operational agility.
Powered by generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, The Well accelerates how knowledge is captured, organized, and shared. Expert interviews that once required days of transcription and editing can now be summarized and published within hours, transforming critical expertise into accessible, structured content. Customizable AI agents allow employees to search and interact conversationally, tailoring information to their specific needs. Despite these advancements, The Well remains grounded in a human-centered approach through open contribution and a two-step review process that ensures accuracy and trust.
This transformation was made possible through strong collaboration between the KM team, IT, and business units. Automated workflows, Power BI dashboards, and integration with communities of practice support governance, content health, and ongoing engagement.
Participants will gain insights to:
- Understand how AI and custom agents speed up capturing, summarizing, and retrieving expert knowledge—especially during transitions.
- Recognize the business impact of an AI-enhanced wiki, from improved access and faster decisions to stronger knowledge transfer and measurable ROI.
- Apply a governance model that balances open contribution and quality control through audits, templates, workflows, dashboards, and community input.
The Well exemplifies how modern KM platforms can evolve into intelligent, trusted assistants that strengthen collaboration and keep people at the heart of innovation.
