Sourcing and Supplier Flexibility and Transparency: Automotive Industry

APQC collaborated with BCG to conduct research with 185 companies to evaluate the current state of a full range of operational and supply chain resilience capabilities needed to thrive. This survey-based research gathered quantitative data as well as information on practices related to establishing visibility and assessing risk.

This report provides an automotive industry snapshot of flexibility and transparency in sourcing and procurement. It examines the extent of supplier redundancy, use of location in supplier selection, and the transparency of various key supplier statuses.
