At WECU, process management is no longer something “done to” teams. It has become something they ask for and trust as a way to solve real problems. This session explored how a credit union early in its process journey turned resistance into resilience by embedding process thinking into its culture through alignment, humility, and results.

Rather than launching a standalone initiative, WECU integrated process improvement into existing values and project frameworks. Participants heard how process tools were introduced within real projects, how the approach was tailored to meet teams where they were, and how trust grew through collaboration, transparency, and measurable success.

Two case studies bring this journey to life:

  1. The first shows how an early improvement project uncovered unexpected root causes and led to impactful, data-driven solutions.
  2. The second highlights a “non-process” project that became a turning point for cultural adoption and process governance.

Through peer discussions and guided reflection, participants:

  • Learned how to embed process management into existing frameworks that align with organizational culture and strategy.
  • Identified practical ways to overcome resistance, build trust, and gain buy-in for process work.
  • Participated in peer discussions to compare challenges, share approaches, and integrate process thinking into daily work.

Bridge practical insights, tested tools, and renewed confidence to turn process from a push into a pull within your own organization.
