Pursuit of Excellence through Standardizing Core Processes and Process Mapping

In the past two years, Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation's (AHC’s) director of business processes and projects, Marya De LaCruz Sabalbaro, has worked with her organization to map more than 1,000 core processes, bringing its total processes mapped to 97 percent. In addition to mapping, process measures are also tracked, which has inspired process improvement at AHC. In this session summary, Sabalbaro shares AHC’s journey including its strategy for mapping its core processes, how it developed a plan utilizing the healthcare PCF, and how she obtained leadership support and broke through barriers.
