As the fields of process and knowledge management evolve, these teams may find their missions overlapping with other support functions. For example, efforts to transfer expert knowledge can conflict with learning and development, and process automation projects may intersect with IT or the digital office. Relationships with these functions can easily devolve into turf wars, but they can also blossom into symbiotic partnerships.
