Knowledge is one of an organization’s most valuable assets, yet too often it remains scattered, inconsistent, or difficult to access. This session showcases how Collins Aerospace tackled that challenge by developing a SharePoint-based Knowledge Management (KM) Playbook that brought structure, clarity, and visibility to knowledge sharing across Collins and RTX.

Led by a curated KM Council, the initiative created a unified framework that defined KM capabilities, roles, methods, and tools in one central resource. The playbook also established KM focal points within each business unit, enabling teams to quickly find experts, leverage shared resources, and apply proven practices across the organization.

You'll explore how to:

  • Build a practical, scalable KM playbook using existing tools and governance.
  • Assess KM needs by analyzing organizational challenges and opportunities and engage the appropriate KM team to determine where KM delivers the most value.
  • Design a knowledge framework that structures and organizes assets for easy access, reuse, and collaboration.

Expect to gain strategies that help you develop or enhance KM frameworks that streamline collaboration, reduce operational risk, and position knowledge as a lasting competitive advantage.
