Having rigorous processes in place is critical when lives are at stake. By adapting APQC’s Process Classification Framework (PCF)® and applying Lean principles to its process work, GeoComm—a software company that serves 9-1-1 centers—was able to reduce errors and rework, speed up new employee onboarding, and make process work easier for everyone.

At APQC’s 2024 Conference, Lean Manager Jessica M. Koenig from GeoComm and Vice President of Marketing Chris Scherting from Comprose shared insights and lessons learned from GeoComm’s journey toward operational excellence. This article discusses key points from their presentation.
