APQC conducted its annual research survey in early 2024 to determine Knowledge Management professionals' top objectives and priorities. The survey asked KM respondents to identify the skillsets that KM should focus on presently. 

This article highlights the top four key skills respondents identified as important: change management, design thinking, problem-solving, and partner and collaboration. These skillsets are vital for KM to fulfill its role as a strategic partner to the business and to ensure future resources and support. In the years to come, companies will increasingly use advanced technologies like AI to enhance knowledge resources, highlighting the value of these skills.
